Schizophrenia will treat a computer game

The American company Brain Plasticity has developed a computer game which can help sick of a schizophrenia. Its purpose – to allow such people to train attention and memory, thereby facilitating the condition and braking disease progress, — writes New Scientist.

To use game in medical practice, at first it is necessary to meet with approval FDA – Managements on products and medicines. Developers have already made an application on patenting of the product.
The first scale researches with participation more, than hundreds patients, start in 2012. Volunteers will play new game almost daily, approximately on one hour. And so – half a year. If results of experiment are satisfactory, game can quite receive the status of "medical".
In the meantime in camp of doctors becomes ripe split: one say that for a long time it is time to search for as much as possible modern approaches to a question, others are afraid that such experiments can lead to unexpected consequences. However, that without computers and everything, with them connected (modern gadgets like usb the modem skylink which can be found  and other) any sphere of human activity, already nobody denies today is unimaginable.
