At University of Wisconsin have thought up, as energy which is developed during walking, to start up on additional charge of mobile devices. For this purpose authors of research Eshli Taylor and Tom Krupenkin used electrospending liquids and technology of electrowetting, — informs Nature Communications.
Probably, in some years, putting on jack boots, you will precisely know that the charger at you always near at hand, more truly, under a foot. And all thanks to that some years ago scientists managed to learn that each time when our foot adjoins to a surface, is developed energy by capacity in 20 watt.
And here the American researchers have offered a way as it can be accumulated.
It is known that if to a drop of an electrospending liquid to bring an electrode it under the influence of a charge will start to change the form.
Volume Krupenkin and Eshli Taylor have assumed to start process in the opposite direction: to deform a drop and to receive a charge. For this purpose they have placed between two plates covered with a layer dielektrika, a drop of mercury and galinstana. As the current converter in the variable the resistor has acted. The further experiences have shown that the more there was a thaw, the above capacity of the new generator.
And though it was possible to "squeeze out" all of 150 drops some milliwatt, researchers believe that it only the beginning. For two next years it is planned to finish capacity to 10 watt. It will be more than enough to recharge on the move a mobile phone, the GPS-navigator or even a military portable radio set
